
AMY BRANDIS
Amy leads the development slate at Alef UK, working with Gilles Bannier to create ambitious series and films that entertain and resonate with contemporary audiences.
Previously, she script-edited over 44 episodes of EastEnders at BBC Studios. Amy began her career in London as a reader for Mammoth Screen, BAFTA Rocliffe, and STV, before moving to Paris as a journalist and later working as a script consultant for Wild Bunch. She wrote and directed the award-winning short Screw the Pooch which won Best Comedy at the 2022 Brighton Rocks Film Festival, and won the 2022 Austin Film Festival Pitch competition with her feature script Of Sound Mind.
Passionate about storytelling across genres, Amy is driven to develop bold, boundary-pushing projects in line with Alef UK’s motto: no borders, no taboos.
